Developer HBD, part of Henry Boot, is bringing forward a £20m GDV industrial and logistics scheme in Welwyn Garden City, delivering circa 71,000 sq. ft. across three units.
As well as excellent transport links, INTER will boast excellent environmental credentials, targeting BREEAM Excellent and an EPC Rating of A, appealing to ESG-conscious occupiers.
HBD will deliver the development on a speculative basis; indicative of the quality of the scheme, the continued shortage of Grade A industrial space and confidence in the market.
Site preparation works have begun in anticipation of construction starting later this year. Mitchell Design & Construction Ltd are the contractors engaged on the scheme.
Vivienne Clements, Executive Director at HBD, said: “INTER will deliver best in class, sustainable industrial space, supporting occupiers in meeting their ESG obligations which remains a leading requirement. Coupled with its location and the continued shortage of Grade A industrial space, we expect the scheme to see strong interest from potential occupiers.”
Situated on Tewin Road, INTER sits within the well-established Mundells industrial area of Welwyn Garden City. The town centre and train station can be reached easily on foot, while its proximity to Junction 4 of the A1(M) also provides convenient access to the motorway network.
INTER is one of several industrial and logistics schemes being delivered by HBD across the South East, including Momentum, its net zero logistics development in Rainham, London, Workstown, Enfield, Butterfield Business Park, Luton and Airport Business Park Southend, a joint venture with Southend-on-Sea City Council.
The agents for INTER are Hollis Hockley and Adroit.
