HBD targets a further 85,000 sq. ft. of mid box space at Butterfield Business Park

HBD has submitted plans to further extend Butterfield Business Park with a proposed 85, 000 sq. ft. B2/B8 unit, creating new jobs and injecting much needed stock into the Luton market.

The property developer has successfully delivered more than 155,000 sq. ft. of high-quality industrial space in Luton during the last two years.

The scheme has proven very popular and construction began on a second phase of The Quad at Butterfield in April 2021 to create five new units from 10, 500 sq. ft. to 26, 000 sq. ft. Work is progressing well on site, with a host of new businesses expected to move in early next year.

Luke Davenport, Senior Development Surveyor at HBD, said: “Butterfield has proven a popular location for businesses from Luton and beyond; both large corporates and SMEs. The proposed mid box unit will be high-quality and sustainable, with PV solar panels, electric charging points and a large yard within a landscaped environment.”

He continued: “We have brought forward a large proportion of space here on a speculative basis – this will be the biggest unit to date, illustrating both the strength in demand for high-quality, well-located industrial space in the region and the sustained interest in Butterfield.”

HBD is one of the UK’s most experienced industrial and logistics developers, with an enviable track record. With seven offices across the UK, HBD focuses on three key sectors; industrial and logistics, urban regeneration and residential.
