Property developer HBD has secured planning consent for the first phase of its 10-acre scheme at South Crofty in Pool, Cornwall, building a new 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse and trade centre unit.
South Crofty is being delivered as part of a joint venture agreement with the landowner, Crofty Developments Limited.
As well as creating around 15 new jobs, the deal will act as a catalyst for further development across the remaining 8-acres.
The occupier, a builder’s merchant, is expected to move into its purpose-built accommodation early next year.
James Digby, Director and Head of Region at HBD, said: “We’re pleased that planning has been granted for the redevelopment of the South Crofty site – the scheme will attract new investment into the area and create much needed jobs. We are currently in the process of selecting a contractor and look forward to starting on site and seeing the scheme begin to take shape.”
The South Crofty project is being delivered by HBD’s Bristol office, which undertakes industrial and logistics and urban regeneration schemes across the South West, South Coast and South Wales.
