HBD, part of Henry Boot, has promoted Tom Wheldon to its Strategic Board with responsibility for Customer Strategy.
Stepping up from Director and Head of Region, Tom becomes Executive Director and will be based in the business’ Sheffield office. He will continue to lead HBD’s Operations Board.
Since joining HBD in 2016, Tom has led on the delivery of impactful real estate projects across Yorkshire and the North East, including Markham Vale, The Chocolate Works and Wakefield Hub, with a wealth of experience spanning development, land acquisition and business growth.
HBD’s Strategic Board comprises Ed Hutchinson, Adam Brady, Vivienne Clements, Tom Wheldon and Hamer Boot. Hamer recently adopted day-to-day leadership in Ed’s stead following his appointment as Interim Managing Director of Stonebridge Homes.

A long-time supporter of LandAid, Tom is also a member of the charity’s Yorkshire and Humber Board and was recently appointed to the Board of Humber Freeport.
